Mr. Yoon started his career as a patent attorney in 1992 and has nearly 30 years of experience in the intellectual property practice area.  He counsels clients on the entire spectrum of intellectual property law issues.  Mr. Yoon practiced for 22 years  at Kim & Chang, which is one of the leading law firms in Korea.  After leaving Kim & Chang, together with another, he founded the firm Nam & Yoon, where he oversaw the practice and management.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Yoon was employed as an engineer at Korea Telecom, one of the major telecommunication services companies in Korea.




Mr. Yoon is involved in the practice of all aspects of intellectual property law with a focus on patent prosecution, and patent proceedings before the Korean Intellectual Property Office and the Patent Court, strategic counseling on patent protection, general counseling on patent infringement and licensing issues, evaluation of validity, and enforceability of patent rights.  He has also been involved in several prior art search projects relating to different subject matters.  He represents clients in relation to a wide range of technologies, including wireless communications, computer software and security, Internet and data processing, image/signal processing, video encoding and decoding, speech/image recognition, channel coding and decoding, network architectures and protocols, instrumentation, automated processing systems, medical systems, and power electronics.  Mr. Yoon also has a number of software clients, which he assists in matters involving e-commerce and electronic business methods.
