Ms. Jung is a registered patent attorney with expertise in chemistry, biochemistry, polymers, petrochemicals, material science, display engineering, and nanotechnology.




Ms. Jung received her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Hanyang University.  During her undergraduate studies, she focused on organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, polymers, and electrochemistry.




Prior to joining MUHANN, she worked as a patent attorney responsible for filing and prosecuting patent applications and managing patent portfolios at Korea University Research and Business Foundation, where she obtained extensive experience in transferring ownership of technology from Korea University to corporations.




Prior to transferring to Korea University Research and Business Foundation, she worked for SHINSEI Patent Office in Japan as a patent attorney responsible for filing and prosecuting patent applications for Samsung Electro-Mechanics and Samsung LED. She was also involved as a counsel for Intellectual Property Law in Korea .




Since joining MUHANN, she has been responsible for preparing and prosecuting patent applications related to semiconductors, electronic materials and articles, materials for display technologies including LCD, OLED, and LED, and battery technologies including solar cells, secondary cells, fuel cells and separators. Also, she has prepared legal opinions regarding patent infringements and the validity of patents.  In addition to her regular work, Ms. Jung handles patent trials and lawsuits before the Intellectual Property Tribunal and Patent Court. She has extensive experience in this area of practice.  Very recently, she successfully defended a patent for a Japanese client directed to a semiconductor.  The case took more than 3 years to complete and was actively disputed.
